We are gathering resources to operate as a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit organization in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We urgently need $850 to pay the “User’s Fee” that the IRS charges for filing for 501(c)(3) status. We have been recognized by the State of New Mexico as a New Mexico Nonprofit Corporation, and will immediately be filing the necessary documents to be recognized as a Federal 501(c)(3) organization. We need the assistance of any and everyone who is interested in seeing Businesses dedicated to people and planet, instead of just profit. If you would like to learn more, click here. We are also seeking additional Board Members with backgrounds in Business, Finance, Environmentalism, and Social Justice.

We have not yet established facilities in Las Cruces. Part of our fundraising efforts currently are to establish enough income for the necessary full time employees with basic benefits, and the cost of a small space to operate. Our current estimates put that cost at about $750,000, based on the cost of living for the Las Cruces area, and the staff members being paid a base rate of between $30,000-$38,000 per year (with standard benefits). We also need the assistance of local, regional, and national volunteers to assist us with organizing, fundraising, and public relations.
